Child Protection Center (CPC) is a child advocacy center accredited by the National Children’s Alliance. For over 26 years, CPC has served victims of child abuse and their families. CPC opened in 1996 as a child-friendly, safe place for children who are alleged victims of sexual or physical abuse, or who have witnessed violent crimes, to provide their statement about the experience. This statement is obtained through the forensic interview process. CPC also provides family advocacy and mental health services for child victims and their families.

Since 2009, CPC has been operating out of leased space. In that time, CPC has experienced program expansion and its staff has nearly doubled. In addition, CPC is now serving over 35 percent more children and families. Currently occupying a limiting 4,500 square feet of space, CPC's new building provides 14,000 square feet of much needed space. The new space will enable CPC to expand its forensic interview, family advocacy and mental health services programs as well as begin providing prevention programming for victims of child abuse and their families.

CPC’s new building is located at 2940 Main Street, Kansas City, MO 64108.
