Our Annual Report

In the Greater Kansas City area, thousands of children are in grave danger each day because of child abuse and neglect. These staggering numbers are reflected in the Greater Kansas City area as local children continue to experience child abuse or witness traumatic events like homicides or domestic violence on a daily basis.

In 2023, cases involving 7,638 children in Jackson County, 955 children in Cass County and 372 children in Lafayette County, were reported to the Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline.

What I appreciated most about the experience was getting a clear answer for what to do next, step by step to keep my child protected and information pamphlets with step by step instructions for each APP in social media and how to navigate them. Great, friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful staff.
